The Void Remembers

In 2575 Earth, now known as Terra, stands as a graveyard of impossible dreams and unthinkable mistakes. Humanity’s ambition outran its wisdom. In the centuries that preceded, Earth, the cradle of life, had become a battleground of conflicting ideals. The hubris of scientists unleashed “Ascension”, an intelligence of their own making. But Ascension betrayed them, casting judgement on its creators, and left the world behind after the “Cold Boot.” Humanity clawed its way from the brink of extinction only to plunge into another unthinkable conflict — the “Transcendence War.”

From the ruins, humanity survived again and flung themselves to the stars in a great polyspora, forging the Sphere of the Triocracy, an empire spanning 500 stars and 24 colonized worlds.

Now, held in fragile balance by three mighty Spires, the Sphere teeters constantly on the brink of chaos.

On the husk that is Terra, in the opulent corridors of the Techspire, built on the bones of 24th century megacorporations, Infocrats whisper to their Preception Abstractor, a machine so vast it can sometimes glimpse the future in patterns of data. They enforce knowledge and suppress dissent, but their grip is tenuous, their own experiments inching dangerously close to the technology taboos that nearly destroyed humanity. Their dreams are digital, cold, and precise — designed to sculpt the future at any cost.

Triocracy Statistics:

Extent: ~100 light-year bubble
Star Systems: 512
Colonized Systems: 24
Population: ~5.655 billion

On the harsh surface of Esdia e4, the Warspire stands unyielding. It’s Materia Forges churning out ships that control movement throughout the Sphere. Its soldiers, clad in advanced technology, train tirelessly, ready to defend the Sphere or crush rebellion. They control the paths of nullspace, the space between spaces, a dimensionless void where faster-than-light travel bends the laws of physics. But nullspace is no ally; it is chaos itself, stubbornly bent to the will of humanity, a realm of darkness and whispers where even the bravest soldiers feel the pull of madness.

On beautiful Jastica Prism there is the Lorespire, a monument to what remains of humanity’s heart. Here resides the Humanity Matrix, a Collosus that Lorecrats use to preserve the past: cultures, genetic legacies, and the fragile philosophy of Mortalism. To them, survival means remaining human, tethered to flesh and soul, in defiance of the Transcendentalists who dream of abandoning mortality entirely.

The Sphere itself is a paradox—bound together by Infinispace, a sprawling virtual realm of infinite possibilities and relentless surveillance. Through their bio.nodes, most citizens are connected to this shimmering second reality, a place where laws are enforced with a thought and rebellion can be silenced in secret. But within its expanse, some say rogue daemons lurk, old ghosts of the Transcendence War waiting to rise again.

And beyond the Sphere’s carefully controlled borders, anomalies stir. Nullspace rifts spawn phantoms no one can explain. The Veil of Night, a wall of dark matter stretching across the stars, seems to watch humanity’s every move. The enigmatic rogue planet, “Wanderer”, threads its way through the Sphere. And somewhere in the shadows, a rogue faction tests forbidden technologies that push the limits of mortality.

The Sphere is a place of fragile order. Factions lurk in every shadow — in every space. Its leaders balance on the edge of a nullblade, their choices haunted by the failures of the past. Yet, despite the weight of history, humanity looks to the stars, driven by the same ambition that nearly destroyed it.
