A lot of mystery surrounds the next installments in the Star Wars franchise, but one thing is no longer a mystery. The first movie of the sequel trilogy has a release date courtesy of the Disney PR machine! That date being:
December 18, 2015.
A scant two years from now we will all be standing in lines, clutching snacks (and probably 3D glasses), and waiting patiently for a chance once again to adventure in a galaxy far, far away with old and new beloved characters. And not shortly after that internet nerds will begin raging . . . but I digress.
Star Wars: Episode VII is being helmed by J.J. Abrams, who has also recently taken over writing duties from Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, Oblivion). Assisting Abrams will be Star Wars script veteran Lawrence Kasdan who penned the screenplays for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Scheduling changes were the main explanation as to why the script writing duties had been shifted away from Arndt.
Here’s a little preview of what we can expect from Abrams’ Star Wars. I keed, I keed!!!!
